Call for Abstracts

Abstracts addressing the symposium themes are currently being solicited. Please use the guidelines for abstract formatting or the MSWord template and send your abstract by e-mail to: iasws@plymouth.ac.uk

The abstract deadline is 01 June 2010. Authors will receive confirmation of acceptance of their abstracts by 31 September 2010. Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by 31 December 2010 will be scheduled into the final programme.

Authors wishing to have their papers reviewed for publication in a special issue of Marine and Freshwater Research will be required to submit complete manuscripts by the end of the Symposium (23 June 2011). Details regarding the manuscript format will be available on the symposium website. All papers will then be peer reviewed with approximately 25 papers selected for the special issue of Marine and Freshwater Research. Symposium registrants will receive access to this special issue as part of the registration fee.

Language of the Symposium

The official language for the Symposium will be English which will be used for all presentations and printed material.

Presentation formats

The Symposium programme will consist both of plenary and parallel sessions for oral presentations and poster sessions. Oral and poster contributions will carry equal scientific status. Posters have a vital role in fostering discussions among participants.

Oral presentations will be limited to 15 minutes, allowing additional 5 minutes for discussion. Please submit your Power Point presentation on a CD or Flash drive at the registration desk one day before presentation.

Posters should be prepared to fit within 95 cm (width) x 110 cm (height) in portrait format.
