| 12th International Symposium on the Interactions between Sediments and Water |
The Symposium The International Association for Sediment Water Science (IASWS) is pleased to announce that the 12th International Symposium on the Interactions between Sediment and Water will take place in June, 2011 in southwest England. The symposium will be co-hosted by the University of Plymouth and Queen Mary University of London and held at Dartington Hall, Totnes, Devon. Management objectives for aquatic systems are increasingly highlighting the importance of sediment-water interactions in controlling nutrient and pollutant cycling. The 12th International Symposium on the Interactions between Sediments and Water will explore our current knowledge of process interactions from catchment to coast, examining how sediment and water interactions drive, influence and link many of the physical, chemical and biological processes at play within and between terrestrial, freshwater and marine ecosystems.
