Call for Abstracts
The abstract deadline is now closed for oral presentations. Please note that only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by 1 March 2011 can be scheduled into the final programme.
Authors wishing to have their papers reviewed for publication in a special issue of Marine and Freshwater Research will be required to submit complete manuscripts by the end of the Symposium (23 June 2011). Details regarding the manuscript format will be available on the symposium website. All papers will then be peer reviewed with approximately 25 papers selected for the special issue of Marine and Freshwater Research. Symposium registrants will receive access to this special issue as part of the registration fee.
Language of the Symposium
The official language for the Symposium will be English which will be used for all presentations and printed material.
The Symposium programme will consist both of plenary and parallel sessions for oral presentations and poster sessions. Oral and poster contributions will carry equal scientific status. Posters have a vital role in fostering discussions among participants.
Oral presentations will be limited to 15 minutes, allowing additional 5 minutes for discussion. Please submit your Power Point presentation on a CD or Flash drive at the registration desk one day before presentation.
Posters should be prepared to fit up to A0 in portrait format.
Abstract Formatting Requirements
When submitting Abstracts, please download a copy of the formatting requirements and adhere closely to the specifications therein.
There will be a limited number of bursaries to support postgraduate attendance at the symposium. Priority will be given to students without access to funding schemes within their own country. For further information please contact the organisers at IASWS@plymouth.ac.uk.
